These Terms explain what you can expect from VERTEX and what we expect from server owners, staff and users. The simple version: use VERTEX to run communities responsibly, do not abuse the platform, and keep your Discord server configuration under control.

Using VERTEX means accepting these Terms.
The Terms apply when you invite, configure, access, interact with or operate VERTEX.
By using VERTEX, you agree to these Terms and to any rules that apply through Discord or other third-party services used by the platform. If you do not agree, you should not use VERTEX and should remove it from servers you control.

What VERTEX provides.
VERTEX is a Discord operations platform for communities that need more than isolated commands.
Moderation and protection
Warnings, timeouts, bans, cases, AutoMod, anti-raid checks, verification and readable staff trails.
Support workflows
Tickets, claims, replies, transcripts, routing and support records for staff teams.
Community systems
Giveaways, levels, karma, reaction roles, welcome messages, creator alerts, insights and music features.
Web dashboard
A protected workspace for approved operators to review state, manage features and inspect live runtime signals.
Eligibility
Discord requirements still matter.
VERTEX runs on top of Discord, so Discord account, server and policy rules apply.
Users
You must meet Discord's minimum age, account and platform requirements to use Discord and interact with VERTEX.
Server owners
You must have the authority to invite, configure and operate bots in the Discord server where VERTEX is used.
Server responsibility
Operational tools need careful operators.
VERTEX can help run a server, but it does not replace responsible staff decisions.
- Server owners are responsible for Discord role hierarchy and permission design.
- Staff access should be limited to people trusted to use moderation, tickets and dashboard actions.
- Configurations should be tested before being used in a live community.
- Server rules, notices and moderation policies remain the responsibility of the server owner.
- Owners should review logs and settings regularly, especially after staff or role changes.
Practical rule.
If VERTEX can assign, remove, moderate or verify something, the bot role must be positioned correctly in Discord.
Acceptable use
Use VERTEX for community operations, not abuse.
The following behavior is not allowed.
Abuse and harassment
No harassment, threats, targeted abuse, doxxing, hate activity or use designed to harm users or communities.
Spam and raids
No spam, raid coordination, mass unsolicited messaging, fake engagement or automated disruption.
Illegal or policy-violating use
No illegal activity, policy evasion, malware, credential theft, fraud, exploit distribution or Discord rule violations.
Service disruption
No attempts to overload, reverse engineer, bypass limits, abuse APIs, probe private endpoints or interfere with infrastructure.
Enforcement.
Access may be restricted, suspended or removed when use creates risk for users, servers, Discord, VERTEX or its infrastructure.
Permissions
Only grant what your setup needs.
VERTEX may request Discord permissions so enabled systems can work. Those permissions should be reviewed by the server owner.
Manage ServerUsed for setup, configuration, insights and dashboard server access checks.
Manage RolesUsed by verification, reaction roles, level rewards, role automation, lock/unlock and permission overwrites.
Manage ChannelsUsed by tickets, slowmode and channel-specific configuration.
Manage MessagesUsed by clear, AutoMod cleanup and moderation workflows.
Moderation powersUsed for warnings, timeouts, kicks, bans and configured escalation.
Voice accessUsed for music playback through Lavalink when music is enabled.
Dashboard access
The dashboard is an operator surface.
Dashboard access is intended for approved users who can manage the selected Discord server.
Authentication
Dashboard sign-in uses Discord OAuth. Access may also be limited by an approved operator allowlist.
Actions
Dashboard actions can affect live server configuration, tickets, giveaways, moderation state and operational systems.
Account safety
Operators are responsible for protecting their Discord accounts and avoiding shared or unattended sessions.
Revocation
Access can be removed when a user should no longer manage a server or when security requires it.
Data and privacy
Operational data supports operational features.
VERTEX stores data needed to provide the service and keep server work traceable.
Stored data may include Discord IDs, configuration, moderation records, ticket records, logs, giveaway data, verification state, level progress, music state, dashboard sessions and health signals. Server owners should read the Privacy Policy for more detail about data use, retention and requests.
Third parties
VERTEX depends on Discord and other providers.
Some outages, limits and policy changes are outside VERTEX's direct control.
VERTEX may interact with Discord, Twitch, YouTube, Lavalink nodes, hosting providers, domain providers, contact tools and other infrastructure. VERTEX is not responsible for third-party outages, API failures, rate limits, account restrictions, platform policy changes or service disruptions outside its control.
Availability
Reliability is the target, not a guarantee.
VERTEX is maintained for stable operation, but no live service can promise perfect uptime.
Possible interruptions
Service may be interrupted by maintenance, Discord outages, hosting issues, API limits, updates, incidents or security actions.
Feature changes
Features may be updated, limited, removed, renamed or changed to protect security, compatibility and maintainability.
Restriction and termination
Access can be limited when needed.
Restriction protects the product, its infrastructure, Discord communities and users.
Access to VERTEX may be restricted, suspended or terminated because of abuse, security risk, violation of these Terms, violation of Discord rules, malicious use, payment or access issues, or behavior that threatens the stability or reputation of the service. Server owners may stop using VERTEX at any time by removing the bot from their Discord server.
Disclaimers
No system can remove every risk.
VERTEX is designed to help, but server owners remain responsible for how it is configured and used.
VERTEX is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VERTEX and its owner are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including data loss, server disruption, staff misconfiguration, moderation mistakes, Discord enforcement actions, third-party failures or missed automation.
Changes
Terms may evolve with the product.
Updates may reflect new features, legal requirements, security improvements or operational changes.
Continued use of VERTEX after updates are published means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree with updated Terms, you should stop using VERTEX and remove it from servers you control.
